The School Board is comprised of two levels:

• The Members level includes five individuals who appoint the Board of Directors and retain authority over the Articles, By-Laws, Mission and Philosophy.

• The Board of Directors has a maximum of 25 directors. All directors are parents of St. Anne School. The Board is responsible for the adoption and approval of all School policies, programs, expenditures, facilities, and operational issues. The Board of Directors volunteer their time and are required to make or secure an annual financial contribution to the School.

STRUCTURE

The Board is governed by the Chairman and its Directors.The Directors are expected to be actively involved in the committees of the Board and the self-improvement process.

In order to make educated decisions about all the matters before them, the Board receives reports from the Head of School, CFO, Director of Operations, Principals, Directors, Board Committees, Staff Representatives, and the St. Anne Parent Association (SAPA).

Standing committees of the Board include Religion (spiritual guidance), Academic (curriculum and programs), Technology (maintenance/upgrading and implementation), Financial Aid (scholarships), Development (fundraising, grants, endowment, and nontuition revenue sources), Nominating (nominates individuals for consideration as Board members), Athletic (monitors and addresses athletic programs, policies, and procedures), Marketing (full enrollment and community presence), Budget and Finance (budget development process, financial reports and projections), and Safety (campus s afety supervision.)

Committee Chairs must be Directors. Committees are encouraged to include individuals with the vision and expertise as needed to carry out the Mission of the School. Active Committee members are seen as a pool for membership on the Governing Board.

Committees of the Board act as official organizations of the Board. Official records of Committee meetings and actions are to be included in the official minutes of the Board.
