An educator for over thirty years, Mr. Casato came to St. Anne School after spending twenty-five years as both an elementary and middle school principal in the public schools. He began his career as an elementary school teacher and later moved to middle school, where he taught mathematics. Prior to coming to St. Anne, he served as principal at two California Distinguished Schools and a National Blue Ribbon School. He believes in the capacity of all children to learn and achieve, and in the critical role that teachers play in the lives of their students. He also believes in the vital roles that leadership and vision serve in the development of our best schools.
Mr. Casato holds a M.S. in Education Administration from California State University Fullerton, a B.A. degree in Behavioral Science from Cal Poly Pomona, a California Teaching Credential and a California Administrative Services Credential. His two oldest daughters are both teachers, his youngest daughter is a school psychologist, and his two sons are currently attending college. He and his wife, a school district administrator, live locally in San Clemente.
