Understanding Sacrament Preparation
Based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, sacraments are celebrated in community with the parish family, especially Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, which are the sacraments of initiation. Respecting and supporting the role of the parent as the first and most important catechist for the child, a child's preparation for these sacraments takes place within his/her family, and is supported by the child's parish religious education program. In addition, the Catholic School plays an important role in this process through the daily religious lessons given in the classroom.
In this spirit, St. Anne School strives to prepare your Catholic student for the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation in collaboration with your parish. Please coordinate with your pastor or parish DRE to determine what credit your child will receive for being enrolled at St. Anne School, as this varies from parish to parish.
We are glad to assist you with your childs preparation and we ask that you please let us know if we can assist in this process in any way,
