CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

Students will...

• Arrive on time (in your seat when the bell rings)
• Support their teachers' efforts to teach & their classmates efforts to learn
• Bring a positive attitude
• Work to potential
• Follow directions the first time
• Treat others with respect
• Get permission to speak or leave their seat

If not...

• Strike 1- Verbal Warning
• Strike 2- On Notice (email home)
• Strike 3- Sent to Office with Referral

PARENT EXPECTATIONS

Parents will...

• Read and understand the middle school discipline plan
• Support teachers in providing effective programs in discipline & instruction
• Support the school's efforts to provide a positive, safe, orderly Christian environment
• Discuss with student's their progress and performance regularly
• Communicate by email, phone or conference with school staff as needed
• Bring student concerns directly to the teacher prior to an administrator
• Support the school's efforts to shape, correct or re-direct their student's behavior when necessary

TEACHER EXPECTATIONS

Teachers will...

• Greet students at the door each period
• Begin each class with a sponge activity at the bell
• Move about the classroom regularly
• Make two positive parent contacts each week
• Follow and support the middle school school-wide discipline plan
• See that students stand and are silent for daily prayers
• Dismiss students at the end of each period

ADMINISTRATOR EXPECTATIONS

Administrators will...

• Support teachers in providing effective programs in discipline & instruction
• Follow and support the middle school discipline plan uniformly
• Follow through discipline matters and provide timely feedback to teachers
• Provide regular feedback to teachers (individually and group) regarding discipline and instruction
• Be visible and accessible
• Communicate student issues with parents
• Support teachers in dealing with parents
