  • Jump Start to 5th Grade with Mrs. Imrie

    (Capacity: 7-20 students)
    Launch early into 5th grade! Familiarize yourself with its rich curriculum and begin to develop strong organizational and study skills. You will even have the opportunity to work on the required summer reading assignment and receive feedback.

  • Moving Into Middle School with Miss Martin

    (Capacity: 7-20 students)
    Make a smooth transition to middle school by becoming acquainted with the campus and lockers, learning how to manage multiple classes and the workload, and adapting to the social and emotional aspects of middle school student life. You will spend time working on the required summer reading projects as well. (This course is designed for rising 6th and new middle school students.)

  • Math Bridge 1 with Mrs. Devine

    (Capacity: 7-20 students)
    This course is designed for rising 6th graders who have been recommended for Algebra 1A in the 2022-2023 school year. This rigorous two-week program will build a strong math foundation and stretch students’ math abilities to be successful in Algebra 1A.  (Teacher recommendation required.)

  • Math Bridge 2 with Mrs. Devine

    (Capacity: 7-20 students)
    This course is designed for rising 7th and 8th graders who are currently enrolled in Algebra 1A and want to be considered for Algebra in the 2022-2023 school year. This rigorous 2-week program will establish a stronger algebraic foundation to be successful in learning complex Algebra concepts. (Teacher recommendation required).

  • RunLAB: Nutrition & Exercise Science with Coach Andrade

    (Capacity: 7-20 students)
    Learn how to run properly, fuel, stretch, and move the body.  You will be inspired and motivated to understand the overall benefits and joy of running as well as gain insight into nutrition and wellness. You will not only participate in fun challenges and opportunities, but will also be able to keep journals to help track, document, monitor, assess, and reflect on personal milestones and achievements.

  • Summer Painting with Acrylics with Miss Torrey

    (Capacity: 7-20 students) 
    Create colorful and imaginative works of acrylic on canvas that will celebrate the delights of summer.  From palm trees to pineapples, you will not want to miss out on this fascinating painting course.

  • Babysitting Basics & CPR Certification for Ages 11-15 with Mr. Lehnkering

    (Capacity: 7-20 students) 
    Learn the basics of babysitting from caring for infants/children, creating a safe environment, choosing age-appropriate activities, and navigating children’s behaviors. As an added bonus, you will complete a First Aid and CPR/AED certification course and receive a 2-year certificate.

  • Perfecting the Essay with Mrs. Zeller

    Capacity: 7-10 students)
    Master the skill of writing by researching topics of your choice and learning how to organize your thinking.  You will perfect your writing skills by learning successful tools to self-edit and collaborate with your peers as you reflect on each other’s writing pieces.

  • How to DBQ (Document Based Questions) with Mr. Wheat

    (Capacity: 7-15 students) 
    Gather and analyze evidence such as maps, charts, book excerpts, and artifacts related to historical and current events.  By participating in insightful and challenging discussions, you will build your thinking and investigative skills.

  • Creative Writing Lab with Mr. Bartholomew

    (Capacity: 7-20 students) 
    Craft and write fiction and nonfiction short stories and poetry while exploring your voice.  You will be inspired to develop original pieces and ideas based upon your own experiences, interests, and passions.

  • Elevated Thinking with Mr. Bartholomew

    (Capacity: 7-20 students) 
    Analyze historical and culturally rich stories to uncover the authors’ intent and meaning. You will interact in engaging group discussions to build your literary interpretation skills and make a text-based argument.

  • Reading Evolution with Mr. Bartholomew

    (Capacity: 7 students) 
    Increase your reading, writing, test-taking, and study skills to help you succeed in your academic studies.  You will participate in small group discussions and activities that promote a love of reading.
